- Working with Ngati Whatua o Orakei and Te Puni Kokiri Atamira was the single biggest gathering of Maori in Tamaki Makaurua with something in excess of 120,000 people through the gates of The Auckland Showgrounds. Event included three day concert, Awards ceremonies and expos of all things Maori including Whakairo, Rongoa, Tamoko Kite Aronui,
2010 NZ Body Art Awards
In collaboration with the New Zealand Body Arts Trust and sponsors Weta Workshops, Hegans produced and directed The Awards show.
2010 Rugby World Cup Opening and Closing Ceremonies
Hegans were approached by RWC 2011 Ltd to pitch for the opening and closing ceremonies and were the NZ finalists .
Their team included Weta FX, Oceania Sound and light, Native Audio, composer Don Mglashin, Commonwealth Games Choreographer Mary Jane O'Reilly, Ngati Whatua o Orakei and a host of other New Zealand creative and technical excellence.
2010 Code Black NZ (tm)
Hegans developed an extreme Television show for NZ television broadcast. Starring Olympian Gold Medalists, Barbara Kendall and Martial Arts Expert Glen Levy, Code Black brings together World Champion Skydiver Wendy Smith, World Champion Base Jumper Annie Helliwel, Uber Wave Surfer Doug Young Olympian Gold Medallist Canoeist Ian Fergusson and Olympic and World champions psychologist Dr Gary Hermansson in a confrontational 'under the skin' investigation into the mindset behind fear and anxiety.

Tim Finn 2011 Tour: The View Is Worth The Climb
Hegans in collaboration with Universal Music present New Zealand musical legend, Tim Finn and his band. Although the tour is to promote his latest album, as Tim was a founding member of Split Enz and member of Crowded house he will perform at least some of his vast back catalogue of anthems and hits. This whistle stop tour of New Zealand will be supported by The Sami Sisters . The Auckland venue The Mercury theatre was last played by Tim in the 1970's and promises to shake some of the dust out of her lavish past.
